The staff of the Human Resources Unit inform and advise on the various labor and salary issues. The Human Resources Unit is a solution-oriented service organization responsible for the efficient and consistent application of service, salary and employment law. In addition to the survey and management of personnel data, our service orientation is characterized by timely processing of all inquiries, reliability and expert advice in the areas of employment law, aliens law or professional law.
For the staff of the Medical University of Vienna, the Human Resources Unit is the expert contact point convincing by professional competence, that offers individual support for all personnel-relevant inquiries.
The payroll accounting is available for employee inquiries in matters of tax law as a competent contact partner. We assist with audits, attend GPLA-exams and maintain contact with public authorities.

Human Resources Development Unit
Human resources development comprises all activities, measures and processes that the Medical University of Vienna develops or uses to improve its performance and to promote the potential of its members.
The goal is to enable employees to implement defined strategies (in the areas of research, teaching, patient care), to carry out their tasks efficiently and successfully, and to face new challenges confidently and with motivation. The qualification and motivation of the employees is the prerequisite for the success of the Medical University of Vienna as an autonomous and competitive organization.
Human resources development focuses on the specific needs of employees and individually supports the development of personal and professional competencies. The services offered by the Human Resources Development Unit are accessible to all employees (scientific and general staff) of the Medical University of Vienna.
